I've been married almost 10 yrs. My husband wanted to have sex all the time. I really didn't have much drive. We have 5 kids. So by the end of the day I was exhausted. When I was about 6 months pregnant this last time, sex stopped. The baby is a year old now. We just had sex again 3 days ago. For some reason I always want it. He doesn't. I've tried everything. I've done things he would have begged me to try 2 yrs ago. No response. He says he doesn't know why. Swears nobody else. I believe him because he always with me. Plus we've already been there 4 yrs ago. I didn't give it up so he went elsewhere. I need advice. Pleas help. I'm frusterated. I love him and I know he loves me but I need the sex part of our marriage. By the way, he thinks it's funny. We've switched places. This is how he felt for all those years. But at least I gave in to him.

First ,I would rule out any physical impairment.

Certain medications, alcohol use or abuse,stress,and high blood pressure are some of the physical issues that should be looked at.
Depression can also affect your libido.

After those possibilities have been addressed then I would focus on other ways to get things moving again.

As Artlady said, check for physical problems first. At the same time, keep in mind that a man's body is very different from a woman's. Where we can still "preform" even if we aren't totally in the mood, men can't. Trying to pressure or seduce him into "giving in" could be causing more problems.

Another factor could be the ages of the children. Have the oldest gotten to the age where they ask questions about sex and 'know' what mommy and daddy do in their bedroom? For some people the thought that the children might catch or hear them can be a big turn off.
