Golden Retriever tilting head, drooping right eye
    Hi,

My 5ish year old, golden retriever has a slight tilt to the right of her head and her right eye is droopy. She sleeps a lot but her appetite is good and she plays with our other dog. She had bloodwork done and nothing came back abnormal.

Sounds like it could be Horner's Syndrome
When was your dogs last physical exam?

About a year ago she had complete bloodwork done because of some tummy issues, everything came back normal and they felt it was something she ate or a bone sliver she may have passed. She did also have an ear infection. She got better until about a month ago, she has started putting on weight and sleeps quite a bit. She will get up and play and her appetite is a little too good. Our walks have slowed because she will just sit down and not go anywhere or be so exhausted after the walk we worry about her. Our temps have been 110+ for the past month so we are all getting tired easily. I have an appt to take her to the vet tomorrow and I appreciate your insight - any other suggestions I could make sure the vet addresses would be welcome.

A lot can change in a year - make sure they do blood again. They should check her thyroid too.

Yes, double ear infection. She's gets drops twice a day for 10 days. Plus, she's waay overweight so we are working on slimming her down.

    Thanks for your help.
