    Bags to carry for camping
    Hi,
I will be going for a camp and I don't know what bag to carry. Can I carry a suitcase? A Duffel bag? Or a rucksack? Which would be more convinient?
    Thanks.:)

I've always used either a wooden footlocker, trunk, or large external frame backpack depending on the camping duration and needs around base camp and then included a smaller day pack or fanny pack for excursions from base camp. I've never tried a standard suitcase, but I don't think it would be all that convenient as packs have multiple pockets to help keep things separate, easily accessible, and organized. I even use an internal frame pack when air traveling. I also doubt that standard luggage is water and mud resilient, but if you choose to go that route, have a look at Pelican cases instead; they will stand up to whatever abuse is thrown at them. A separate hanging toiletry bag is also handy. Whatever you choose to take, plan for it getting wet.
