Hi here's my problem. There's this girl I like but her friends always make her mind up for her. The popularity's gone to her head and I don't ignore her. She even ran for school election and I voted for her.

The other day she walked past my house and I saw her going to the back of the store. I was shocked when I saw her smoking with her friends. I would do anything for her but I wouldn't smoke because it always makes me choke.

The other day I talked to her, she told me my words are beautiful and that got me more hooked up on her.

Anyway so here is my question. I am a little bit nerdy and a lot of my friends are older than me. I was wondering if she would swing my way? She also has a lot of complications and a reputation to uphold, and I wouldn't want to get in her way. Some of my friends told me to stand in her way.

If her friends always make up her mind for her,even if you do like her,would you not like a girl with her own mind?

If she is smoking with her friends and following them,then she's a sheep.

You could stand in her way,but she may reject you,I don't want to knock your confidence,but just think this one over before jumping in.

Just remember that sometimes looks aren't everything. Do you really like this girl? Or is it her reputation that you like? I wouldn't go after the girl if you think you would be in her way. You should find someone that cares for you and you know that you wouldn't stand in her way. But it is your choice.

Well, I have talk to her many times. Its just when she is around her friends, she is such a totally different person than when I'm spending alone time with her.

OK,so what do you think will happen if you get together and your around her friends...

Next time your talking,sus it out,she probably does like you,but might be more concerned what her friends might say.
You sound like a nice young lad,continue being her friend and see what develops... dont jump in unless you know what's going to happen.

She has been calling me a lot, wanting to hang out with me and when I turn her down she sounds sad and tells me she had a great time last time we hung out.

As I said talk to her and play it by ear.

I don't think rushing to be her boyfriend is a good idea, but hanging out, and getting to know her would be okay, as the way people act in public, or around her friends, may be different than when she is just with you.

At least you can find out for yourself if she is worth it or not. Just don't get so carried away by your feelings you are blind to any BS she may have up her sleeve.

Update: Today, in class she decided to sit by me instead of her friends. I asked her why, then she said why not and she tried holding my hands as we walked in the hall ways. It caught me off guard. She is throwing me signals from everywhere and I don't know what to do...

Talk to her. She is flirting, so talk and see what she wants. That's what I would do, she may be legit, she may not be but, how will you know unless you find out? Wondering will freak you out. Just never get carried away.
