Suppose you begin sliding down a 15 degree ski slope. Ignoring friction and air resistance, how fast will you be moving after 10 seconds?
Have you drawn a sketch?
1. Have a sketch.
2. Write on the forces acting on you.
3. Break the forces into components perpendicular and parallel to the ski slope.
4. Now that you have the force, you can find the acceleration parallel to the slope, through F=ma (F = force, m = mass of person, a = acceleration)
5. With acceleration, you can find the final speed, with v = u+at (v = final velocity, u the initial velocity, a the acceleration and t the time elapsed)
Hope it helped! :)
