I have an older Murray riding mower - 30570x8c - with a B&S 10hp electric start engine. The battery has been dead for years and I have been using my battery charger to start it. It no longer starts. It is just silent, no click, no nothing. Any ideas?

Try jumping from a known good 12 v battery like your car's.

If that doesn't work, does the silence signify a specific problem?
