    Judgement
My boyfreind and I have a joint checking & savings account together. I have a "renewed" judgement from my previous marriage of 15 years ago. Can this bank who has renewed this judgment attach or freeze my boyfriend's and my account? Also can they garnish my wages at work? I currently make $13.00 per hour. The bank that has the judgement is not the bank we use. Thanks.
The original judgement took place in California in 1991, the renewal in 2001. I live in Florida. The list of dependents starts with a few corporations and end with another individual and then myself.

It would depend on what state you live, if this 15 year old judgemnt would still be valid.

In California, the maximum garnishment is 25% of gross income, if I remember right.

This question is 2 years old - thread should probably be closed.
