I have been living with my Boyfriend for over 3 years. My kids also live here. He gave me a ring in December. We live in the State of Tennessee. Long story short, I got laid off from my job, and he wants us out. Do I have to give the ring back, and can he just kick us out?:eek:

He can kick you out, but he needs to "evict" you according to your landlord tenant laws...

I don't know if you have to give the ring back or not... In some states, if a marriage DIDN'T happen, the ring goes back. In others, it depends on WHO broke the engagement, and others still, it's considered a gift.
