I have a Troybilt Chipper Vac Bought from Troybilt and made by Gardenway in about 1993 or 1994. I have broken the cable that shifts the transmission.

I would like to find a company that can make me a new shifter cable.

Hi,
The waters get a bit "muddy" before 2001 because of the purchase of the assets of Gardenway in bankruptcy.
You could simply go buy bulk cable and a pair of double ferrules if it is a bare cable with looped ends.
Got a model number to ease the search? Tried MTD Customer Service?

Since I have been told by several in the trade how obsolete my machine is, even by mtd,
That I have kept searching a very long time. I have found my answer from a local hardware store. I mean a real hardware store!!
