    Troy Built Bronco 42"
I have been experiencing my stearing getting sloppy for a while now. I looked at the stearing shaft and it seems tight but noticed that the shaft seems to be missing a bearing at the lower end or the bearing is shot... I was looking at the lower end of the stearing shaft, and it engauges the gear OK but then the shaft seems to move from side to side. Its gotten to the point that the tractor will not turn left very well...
Is there any information that can help ?

    Thanks

    Hi,
Yes, there is a bearing at the bottom of the shaft that is subject to wear. The arm that attaches to the spindle is also known to loosen.
    Peace,
    Clarke
PS Model number helps, more that one type of bearing used
