    Renting a house under foreclsure
I have been a renter for a little over a year, and my current home is now Forclosed on by the bank. What is my legal obligation as the tenant about paying rent?

You are legally obligated to pay the rent until you are no longer living there.

If you had posted this in the Real Estate Law forum, you would have seen some sticky notes as well as dozens of threads discussing this issue.

You are obligated to pay the agreed upon rental to the current owner of the home. Foreclosure doesn't change that.

However, foreclosure does terminate the current lease and you become a month to month tenant. This means you can move out with 30 days notice. The new owner is required to give you 90 days notice to vacate.
