    Rights violated
I have been on dialysis for about two years.I went to treatment as always this the nurse said I she would have to take my temperature I. They have two types of temperature devices one type is the kind they put in your ear. The other is this unsanitized temp strip wish is not sterrile.she gave me the un sterrile one . I refused it and ask for the electronic on. She said I had to yuse that on or she would not put me on the machine. Have my rights to refuse treatment been violated ? Ps I have never used the un sanitized one

No, treatment was not refused to you. Maybe you didn't like the pre-treatment method of taking your temperature but treatment was not refused.

My husband was on dialysis for a lengthy period and I well understand exactly what is done before/during/after the procedure.

For that matter the chairs in the waiting room (which likewise touch your skin) are not sanitized nor is the control for the TV nor is the very chair you sit on during dialysis.

Why did this "on your body" strip upset you?
