    Suddenly can't open Jpeg's or PDF's
I have a Lenovo desktop with lots of memory running a 6.0 connection speed at 3.2 Mhtz with Vista home professional at 32 bits. About a week ago I suddenly couldn't open Jpegs,'Pdf's or Mht. On my bottom bar , my leftside Javascript quickly flashes connecting to and my green bar quickly flashes full and off and the left Java script says done and then nothing happens, all in the space of a couple of seconds. Before my green bar would load progressively. As far as I know I have not changed any of my settings, the only thing I remember doing differently is updating Adobe to 9.2.
Any help on what I could check would be greatly appreciated...

    Hi,
Your associations have been fouled up in the Registry. My starting point would probably be to pick a JPG and right-click it. Hopefully it will give a choice to Associate with...
If not then go to Control Panel>Default Programs>Set Associations and check what program tries to open the files in question.
    Peace,

With Control-default- I get JPEG = Picture Viewer,PDF= adobe reader 9.1, MHT=Internet Explorer which all seem appropriate so I'm still puzzled as to what to do...

    Hi,
The one thing that "jumps" out is the Acrobat version. You said you upgraded, but I do not see that reflected. Suggest you go to Control Panel and Restore back to before the upgrade.
    Peace,
    Clarke
