    Michigan Joint Property
If a married couple purchases property together in Michigan but for whatever reason only puts the wife's name on the property title, is the property still considered joint marital property or can the wife sell without the husband's consent? The couple is estranged. Does the husband need to file a lien to protect his interests?

Michigan is an "Equitable distribution" state. Any assets acquired during the marriage is considered a marital asset and will be part of the equitable distribution.

Since the wife's name is the only one on the title, it is her property. But since it was acquired during the marriage its considered a marital asset.
