I have this red bump on the outside of my vagina, it doesn't hurt or anything like that. My mom said it could be from an ingrown hair but it has been there for a while. I don't know if I am just being paranoid or what but I think I can see little red dots the size of pin pricks like a razer rash but I haven't shaved lately because I thought if I didn't shave the ingrown hair would go away and it hasn't. I guess I'm just scared because months ago when I was partying all the time I passed out drunk and found out the next day someone had had sex with me. I doubt a condom was used but I don't know, and I remember having a brown discharge for a few days after that. There was also blood on my underwear when I went to change. I told the school nurse and she said she didn't think it was any std because she'd never heard of any that had a brown discharge. I had a test done for hiv not long after and when it came back negative I assumed I was good for everything. I can't remember if I had gotten a pap after that or not. I started questioning myself tonight when I thought I felt another bump forming, but my mom said she didn't see anything and I couldn't either when I looked I couldn't even feel it when I tried to show her. I started looking it up and I saw different things like herpes and stuff like that and I'm scared half to death I'm only in grade 12. It has been itchy a few times but not very often, and I do have a discharge. I never noticed these things I thought it was normal because I find if I go more than a few days without shaving that area gets itchy, and after shaving sometimes it can be itchy because of razor rash. As for the discharge I have had that for a few years so I didn't think anything was different there but its sometimes clearly and sometimes like a whitish color almost. I've gotten lots of blood taken too for different things so like I don't know if they could get hints from that or not. If they could , wouldn't they have told me so I could get tested for stds. I haven't had sex or anything like that after that night, and before that I know I had been clean. Sorry for writing a novel just trying to give you everything you need to know to make a guess. My doctor takes like two weeks to get in to so I guess I'm just hoping for reassurance I don't have an std so I don't go crazy until then.

Unfortunately we cannot diagnose you over the internet. You WILL have to see a doctor about this. It may be nothing more than an ingrown hair, or it could be a STD, but without being able to visualize it, and test the discharge you are having there is no way we can help you.

I hope you have learned your lesson about drinking. This is a very hard lesson learned, and I hope you do not have genital herpes, but it is possible.

Description alone does not help. Please see your doctor for proper testing.

Sorry oops I don't know how to use this site.. and I know I can't be diagnosed over the internet I just thought someone might have an idea of what it is. It's a red circular bump and I only have one. My skin doesn't look red or anything JUST this bump thing. I shaved today just so I would be able to see it better and everything looks normal except for this red bump. Also, when I shaved I think I must have hit it because a little bit of blood was coming out of it. Blood has come out of it before when I shaved, but only when I shave because other than that I don't normally touch it or try and burst it or anything. I thought with herpes a type of like whitish puss came out, not blood ? Thanks for trying to help though

Well it could just be an ingrown hair or perhaps it may be HPV there's only one way to tell and that's to get to a clinic and find out. I hope it works out for you. :)

Okay, I'm not a doctor or anything... and I get fever blisters on my mouth when I clear up from a fever, some call that herpes simplex 1, but who cares. A lot of people get that.
I also get what you described, on the outside down below, but it's nothing like a fever blister, which is what is described by vaginal herpes, so you can probably rest assured that's not what it is,
Is there a bubble looking bump "looks like a blister" but is soft to the touch... which would be something like herpes...
Or is it red and tough to the touch but soft in the center... that MIGHT... not saying it is... BUT MIGHT be an infected cyst. I got scared to death cause I had one on my lower shoulder just above where the breast starts and thought I had breast cancer and was going to die or loose a boob, turns out, after a $2,000 dollar bill from the hospital,. it was just an infected cyst. I had to get a very small incision to remove the liquid and let it heal with no stitches.
But, what you have, sounds like what I have. I get cysts on the outside of my vaginal area and also on the outside of my buttocks, and they usually will go away on their own, or pop and go away, which will show blood... looks nasty and itches... but if it's a cyst, that's what mine is... then that's what you'll see.
You can help it to go away faster, if you get a wash rag and run it under almost hot water, but not too hot for the inner side of your wrist, as that's a sensitive area too, and put it on the spot down there... that will draw up the liquid and make it heal a lot faster.
If it becomes worse or starts causing you any pain... I would have it checked by a doctor...
Definitely HAVE A DOCTOR LOOK AT IT THOUGH, TO MAKE SURE...
The reason my bill was outragious is because I panicked and thought the worst... about dying... so to SHUT ME UP... LOL.. they did 2 different tests on me... which was a lot of money, then the incision itself... which is considered a small surgery.. I guess... was a lot... and who was to know until I already went... that the follow up visit to get the gauze taken out would be another $1200 dollars... Yeah.. I could have taken it out myself.
Anyhow... IF AT ALL IN DOUBT... GET IT CHECKED OUT.. by a doctor.
