So I went out with a guy last night, and before he dropped me off he asked if I was doing anything today, and I told him not that I'm aware of. So he said he would give me a call today. So far I've heard nothing from him. I even called him to see what he was up to, cause I do know that he was moving into his new apt this weekend, and I was just curious if he got busy. It rang and rang and rang, and went to his vmail. I mean, I understand that people get busy, but if he knew he was going to be busy moving into his apartment, then maybe he shouldn't have told me he'd call me and try to make plans.

If a guy asks if you have plans and say they're going to call.. are they just saying that to be nice or do they usually plan on going through with it? He had called before when he said he was going to, but it doesn't seem like he would just say he was going to call, if he had no intentions on doing so.

Nope. Entirely different guy. I never heard from the guy in that other thread again. I never went on a date with the other guy.

I would just leave it alone, let him call you. If you are constantly calling him he may think you are being clingy. I've had guys, call, forget to call, forget that they were busy and call and not call, it just depends what that guy is like. I'm sure if he asked if you were busy and said he was going to call you and he hasn't by now then maybe he forgot he was busy when he asked you?

Yeah, I only called him once. I was just wanting to see if he was busy with moving into his apartment, but I don't plan on calling him anymore. If he wants to talk to me/see me again, then he has my number. If not, oh well. It would just seem stupid to ask someone if they were busy and then say you'd call, if you had NO intentions of calling. Though he was pretty good about calling me before our date, when he said he was going to. So I'm just going to assume he was busy with his apartment moving and what not.

When a guy says anything to ta effect of "see you later" "Talk to you later" "what are you doing later" this is a good sign. Don't blow it by pressing the issue. He will call when he doesn't have so much on his plate. Moving is a big deal. A side note... If he ever says just "goodbye" when leaving or dropping you off. That's when to be concerned.

Its hard to judge, or measure the actions, of someone you don't know very well, that's why you go slow with no expectations, when you start to date anyone.

It pays to be cautious when people are inconsistent with their behavior, or make promises they don't keep.
