    UK Citizen wanting to marry US Citizen in UK.
    Please advise..

    I am a UK citizen and I want to marry my USA partner in a UK regisrty office. The plan is that myself and my children (aged 10 & 14) will move to US, within 1yr.

    Can anyone advise me on whether I need to inform immigration/home office ( or anyone else), that we are getting married?

    Or can he just travel here on the normal visitors visa and we get married.

    I am trying to do the same thing I was born in england and my fiancé was born in New York I am finding it difficult to actually get married in the U.S.A as the length of time allowed on most visa's in there are only 90 days and the time length to receive documents etc are lengthy, so atm we are considering U.K for our marriage as she can come here for 6 months at a time on an ordinary visa here giving us the time to go through the procedures a lot easier as there does not seem as much red tape. Any help would be appreciated or information on this topic

    I am in a rather similar situation. I am a UK citizen currently on an F-1 student visa in the US. I wish to marry a US citizen at a venue in the UK (also at a registry office). We are both students are unsure whether we would like to end up in the US or UK after we have completed our studies.

    I am unsure:

    1. If a non-UK citizen is allowed to be wed at a UK registry office;
    2. How this will affect my current US visa status;
    3. If I should report my intentions to the US immigration office or her intentions to the UK.

    Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
