    I have computer running xp, new laptop with vista, and old computer with windows 2000 pro, the 2000 pro will not run new printer, is there any way I can transfer xp or vista to old machine??

    No, you cannot just "transfer" this software. It must be loaded onto the machine from the original discs.

    If the problem is that the 2000 computer is unable to access the printer, try connecting the printer directly to to the XP system with the USB cable and make that the "printer server" through your LAN (a.k.a. share the printer from the XP computer to all the other systems through Ethernet). That should, theoretically, allow both the 2000 and Vista systems to load the correct print driver and use the printer.

    Note: printers allow you to install more than one print driver per device. If you can download and install the 2000, XP and Vista driver from the manufacturer's website it should work perfectly. If you can't get all the right drivers it still might work, but at that point you might want to only install the XP driver!
