Ihave my social security check and pension direct deposit in to my wife's account Iam not named on the account what so ever can't wright cheks not authorizied at all can this account be frozen got letter on aug 31 said do not change any thing at bank as of 31st but have been able to use debt card to get cash wouldn't this already be frozen as of 31st plus check her account on line every thing seems to be all right plus bills continue to get paid out of account thank you.

Are you saying that there is a Judgment against you which someone is enforcing through seizing your bank account? Who sent you the "frozen account" Notice?

The debit card should also be frozen - if it is not and you are able to use it, you are still withdrawing funds contrary to the Court's instructions.

(The SS funds are NOT exempt because they are apparently co-mingled. You can try to make that argument but I don't think you will be successful.)

No the account if it was frozen would the bank contiue to let atomatic payments be taken out also wouldn't cheks that were written be denied payment its direct deposit wouldn't they have to prove that they were my funds being deposited they could be my wifs funds they won't le me deposit checks in to her account
