Collecting on a Labor Commission judgement from 2003
I received a judgement from State of California Labor Commission in 2003. I have never collected on it, because I was told I should have made the owner himself, and not his company, the defendant. The company went into bankruptcy and this apparently got him off the hook. For health reasons, I am now going to try make an attempt to collect on this judgement. It basically comes down to I don't want to die yet, and I don't want to die because I can't afford the treatment that might cure me. The amount is under 7500. Is small claims the proper venue for this? Do the courts make it hard for you to file a small claim?

What is the origin of the claim? You may very well be out of statute.
