Are unable to get along & he provides very little if any financial help. I have asked that he find a different place to live. He insists that I can't make him leave. What are my options? I really can't afford a lawyer to force him out. He does drink heavily & is verbally abusive.

I'm not certain about the law, but it seems that he has become a trespasser by becoming unwelcome. Ask a cop.
