    First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

    Second, Can you define the context of your question. The file system depends on the operating system. There are two major files systems in Windows FAT and NTFS. You can Google them for details.

    I agree with SG. Describing the details and limitations of both FAT and NTFS file systems would be too time consuming and probably best understood reading from a Google response on your own time and conveniance.
