    Tax deeds vs tax leins
What is the difference in purchasing a tax deed or a property that has a tax lien?

Did you purchase this property without any Title Insurance? The lien should have been satisfied prior. Take this for what it is worth... if you purchased property that has a tax lien that was not satisfied, then your property has a tax lien.

A tax deed is when a person(s) have not paid there property taxes and that property was auctioned to another. Depending on the state, because they are different, that tax deed is ownership of that property.
