    What are the treatment of fixed deposit in accounts?

    This is an asset that sits between Current and Fixed.
    In Australia we put these in a section headed
    As INVESTMENTS long term in the Balance Sheet.
    When the maturity date gets nearer to the end , one can transfer it to Current Assets
    Within 12 months.
