    Oil pools
I drive a 2000 2.7 liter dodge intrepid with 175,000 miles. The engine light has come on and began to flash. Lately when I drive away I see small pools of oil left behind. What can I do to repair my car without paying too much for repairs?

. Check for codes right away.

. Ensure oil filter and drain plug are properly tightened. It's possible the old oil filter gasket was not removed, because it stuck to the engine block, and the new filter & gasket was installed over it. In this case, remove the oil filter and discard the old gasket.

. Dodge 2.7L engines are known to have problems with sludging. Use AutoRx to safely clean the engine, if necessary.

    Check enigine light
I drive a 2.7 liter Intrepid the check engine light is on, it leaves small pools of oil , and now it is trembles when I turn it on or when I stop at a stop sign or stop light. Like it feels as though it is going to turn off on me, I have checked the oil and it is fine. Do anyone have any suggestions or is it the oil filter?
