Our 5 or 6 year old dishwasher finished a load, after unloading the clean dishes I closed the door and left the kitchen. I returned about a half hour later and smelled a burning plastic smell. I checked the dishwasher and found the drain pump was still running and the heater was on. Any suggestions of what is happening? I know nothing about this machine.
