Every time my dog gets excited playing with the ball and jumping all over he pulls a muscle in his hind leg. Is there anything at home I can do for this? He actually vomits from the pain and then he seems to be better.

It's strange. I just had him at the Vet and she said he was OK. Thanks for your quick response.
Definitely take him to the vet.
It is highly unlikely he would be pulling a muscle every time he jumps, sounds to me like a joint problem.
What breed is he?
Sorry, we posted at the same time...
It could be slipping patellas (knee joint) if it is a smaller breed.
They appear to be fine but during exercise/activity they can slip out of place.
He is a lab. Is this a trait of theirs?
Labs are more likey to have problems with their hips.
There is a common problem in larger breeds called hip displaysia although it usually makes them limp all the time, not just after jumping.
I have heard of that. Right now he is OK again but I will have to take him back to the vet. Thanks for sharing your excellent information.
No problem, if you can, come back and let us know how he is.
I will do that.
