Savins - what would be my best option
Looking at opening a savings bank account. Where is the best place now with this crazy economy to put some money away in my bank as savings that I can get some interest on yet still have easy access to it if needed?

A savings account? Every bank has them. You won't be getting a ton of interest, but you might be able to find one around 1%. INGDirect has about 1.5% right now. Not quite as accessible as a standard savings, but its better interest.

Then is there something else I should be looking at rather than just a regular savings account?
    Thanks

Depends on how much money you are talking about. Most money market accounts have pretty steep minimums.

If you are talking about less than 10k, then for easiest access, a standard savings or interest bearing checking is probably the easiest and safest.
