    Stubborn 2 yr old
I have a 2 yr old son. Very pleasant child until he can't get what he wants. Throws tantrums, fights back and is extremely stubborn. He runs wild and screams like mad when we are in public. How do we deal with this?

Hi there,I also have a 2year old who behaves rather embarrassingly and it seems a lot worse when your out and others are looking at your child but believe me it will pass its to do with their age and they can get so frustrated at this age trust me I have 4 children so I know how you must feel right now,the best advice I can give is to praise the good behaviour and ignore the bad behaviour and never go back on your word because if you give in once they have you wrapped around their finger! When you feel a tantrum arising try to divert their attention to something else thus making them forget what they were about to have a tantrum about,if tantrums are inevitable take your child to one side and explain that you do not tollerate this nonsense and that you want an apology but try to make sure they understand what they are appologising for,I hope this is sound advice for you.
