    Laminate Flooring
I had a wood laminate floor installed about 2 months ago in living room, dining room, kitchen & hallway. It looks beautiful but there are several areas where the laminate is raised (about 5 feet from front door, 2 foot area), 2 foot area by kitchen. It is not flat to the floor and moves up and down when walked on but the planks are not coming apart. What is causing this and can it be corrected?

    Hi Sharon

If this is floating floor, need room to expand.

Call back installers and they can fix it.

I agree with the first response. It sounds like the floor was installed without room for expansion. There needs to be a quarter inch gap from the walls.

Yep, expansion is all of our thoughts. The floor was not given room to expand and contract as per the installation directions, its an installer error
