    Basement toilet
Been living in house for several years, toilet in basement backs up when I wash clothes. Sometimes it the water has small pieces of lint with a sewage smell and other times just water with no smell, but a dark color... even when wash water is not a load of darks. I was thinking about getting the toilet removed and hopefully that will eliminate the problem or is it a sewage problem for my city or a plumbing problem for me. I just need to know what to do. I am good with replacing sink pipes and other plumbing stuff, but I know this problem needs a professional.

    Thanks for all your inquiries

Have the toilet drain line snaked. You can rent a sewer snake, pull the toilet and snake the line or call sewer drain man.

Its not the toilet that is backed up rather the drain after the toilet so look for a clean out. Rod via the clean out. Should be one with a lower level toilet so you won't need to pull the toilet.
