    My dog steps on me
    Hi everyone,

I have a lovely 7 months old puppy. I let him up on the couch however when he wants to get from one side of the couch to the other side he will just walk on top of me. It is starting to become a problem as he is getting heavier and it does actually hurt sometimes.

Is there anything I can do to stop this behaviour?

    Thanks for your reply.

    KISS

Yep, grab him by the turn on his neck and train him the right way.

Nudge away. Put on floor. Hold by the neck and guide around you. Place dog on other side of the couch.

    Better yet, no couch.

Make it so that if he steps on you he is taken off the couch.

You need to make a punishment that he will understand, which for a dog is taking away something they want, in this case... the couch.

You could also train him not to get on the couch at all like KISS said. One of mine rarely gets up in the couch because she has her own doggy bed in the living room.
