    Bank account seizure
SS funds are exempt from seizure. If SS funds are deposited into an account, along with other funds, will that account be exempted because of the SS funds. If seizure is allowed, the SS funds are being illegally seized... right or wrong?

It is almost impossible to prove which funds are SS and which are not when money is co-mingled. It certainly is worth an attempt but I don't know how you would prove, for example, that you paid a utility bill out of the "other" funds and the SS money remained intact.

    Hello q:

Once the SS money is CO-mingled with other funds, it's subject to seizure. If you want to keep it safe, keep it SEPARATE.
