Hi,
I have a top loader Maytag washer. I noticed loud noise during spin cycle and rubber burning smell. When I looked under the washer, I saw that belt melted into one of the plastic pulleys. I replaced the belt and pulley, and washer ran fine for few minutes. It's giving that loud noise again. I read through forum and made sure that the belt was tight, but now when I turn on the washer, it will take few spins and than it will stop. I can smell burning rubber after that.
Did I install the belt wrong? I didn't open the agitator, should I try to open it and see if anything is stuck there?
Any help/suggestions?
