Shrooms what's there scientific name, can the government test for them, how long can
I've never done shrooms and don't plan on it!! So don't jump to conclusions people. I'm just curious?!

    Okay so I've got questions.

What's the scientific name for shrooms?
How long do they stay in your system?
If some one was on probabtion for marijuana and taking drug test every week, if they did shrooms would if come up in a drug test?
If you do shrooms how long do you halucinate for?

I honestly think shrooms are dumb I'm just trying to prove my friends wrong. So can you guys answer for me?

Don't know many answers to your questions are you didn't state what kind of schrooms you are talking about. Huge difference in answers.

I have some black squirrels in my yard that are currently sampling the mushrooms growing around the neighborhood. One squirrel likes to just roll around on his back and then reverse roll and does this behavior for at least an hour. Then he'll try to dry hump the tree roots or run up the tree and scare the birds at the bird feeder. Other times he just runs sideways and crashes into the big electric box or trees or any other obstacle in the yard.

You can tell your friend that if the squirrels act stupid while taking mushrooms, what do you think you'll be doing? Dry humping the tree roots and running into things?

LSD is bad enough, but mushrooms can be very dangerous as you have no idea just how potent the mushrooms actually are or are not. So, tell your friend if they want to look and act stupid, by all means take mushrooms but don't drive a car or operate any dangerous machinery like a kitchen knife or wood chipper.

The scientific names for shrooms vary with the type of mushroom. Google Psylosibe and Amanita to begin exploring that.

I have no knowledge of how long they stay in your system. The internet, again.

A drug test would come up positive for shrooms if it tested for them. You need to find out what the test covers.

Hallucinations can last for several hours.

You can be high for 10-12 hours so don't plan on going anywhere that you have to appear normal.
As far as I know the drug test may show up for halucinagens so I wouldn't risk this.
You didn't state what kind of mushrooms your friend was thinking of taking as there are literally dozens of mushrooms that contain halucinagens. I'm not a mind reader here.
Depending on just how much mushrooms you ingest you could be under that drug for a longer period than just 10-12 hours.

An update about the squirrel who is eating the mushrooms.

I saw this little black squirrel out in my yard today. He was still running weird, stopping and rolling around on the grass. He would run about 2 feet, stop, and roll around some more. He tried to climb a tree, got about 3 feet from the ground and then stopped like he couldn't remember what he was doing and jumped off the tree.

We have not had any mushrooms growing in the yards in my neighborhood for a good week or more now and he's still pretty messed up.

I hope this helps you understand the long term neurologic problems your friend could be exposing themselves to by doing the mushrooms.
