I have two six month old pitbull pups Chance and Fate and my boyfriend has a seven year old pitbull.. All are sweet as can be.My chihuahua is more aggressive and bites me all the time but they've never snapped once.. Well I heard tomorrow they are voting to ban them so I will lose them all... unless I get insurance before they come and take them... I rent a townhome and the landlord okayed them but do I still need insurance? If so can you tell me where cause I was up all night searchin and didn't find anything to help me. I live in Pleasant Hil, Iowa or Des moines, Iowa... Close enough just need to know where and what I can get to keep my babies... My email is >REMOVED<... :(

Your going to have to call your local town hall I think to get the information you need.. I know in some provences here in canada they are banned but if you owned one before the ban came into effect they were not taken from you.. not sure about american law...

I believe OP is asking about insurance, not the law.

Only way to get insurance is to keep calling agents who handle multiple lines and ask. I am not aware of any specific company which will write when pit bulls or another "aggressive" breed are involved.

If your Chi is a biter you may have a problem with that specific dog.
