Do Low-E windows look dirty on a sunny day?
I had three large picture windows with low E and argon gas recently installed. Two windows have south exposure and one has west exposure. All three windows appear to have a "dirty" appearance almost like dust on a sunny day. As the sun rises each entire window has this " film". It disappears gradually as the sun rises and is totally gone by noon.
Is this normal for low E windows? I cannot find anything on the internet that addresses this matter. Thanks!

This is normal for my windows if there is a huge day to night temperature change. Yes, as the temperature rises the cloudy appearance goes away. My windows have a low E coating and freon gas.

Ask the people who sold you the windows. They should have informed you of expected window behavior.
