    Anti theft
2005 cadillac cts... the car runs fine cranks fine and all but the key won't turn all the way to the off position and I cannot shift into any gear when I put my foot on the brakes. All fuses are good and all relays are new. Ok I took the shift loose and I notice when engaging the brake , the release is not working. I called the Cadillac dealership(of course they don't won't you to fix it they want to fix it) and they told me it was some kind of module but which one and where is it located. Please does anyone know anything about anti theft systems?

I would first press on brake pedal and see if you get brake lights, May be the Problem.
Try rotating the steering wheel free to turn key.
May be a key or Ignition problem.
Most disable the Starter only, you can also disable Fuel and Ignition among other things.
    Any response for the above?
