    Underground Electrical
I need to run 250 feet of #10 wiring from my house to the beach. I intend to run the wire through 3/4" pvc conduit. How deep must I trench to lay in the conduit?

Not enough information has been supplied. Please describe what you are trying to do.

What are your power requirements and what device or devices that will be serviced by this feeder.

I'm simply running 110 electricity underground in pvc pipe and don't know how deep the pipe should be buried under our lawn. Six inches? Eighteen inches? Does it matter? What else do you need to know? Thanks

18" but you must check your local building codes. The circuit must be GFCI and I would not rely solely on a GFCI receptacle, get a breaker. Where are you located?

If I were going to dig the trench I would certainly put something larger than 3/4 conduit. As soon as you complete this, you will probably wish you had pulled some 3-wire cable so you could turn the light on and off from the house and the beach.

Minimum 18 inch deep is correct.

The only correction needed is the entire circuit does not need to be GFI protected.

If a receptacle is at the end, then it must be GFI.

I suggest that a warning tape be laid above the buried conduit 12 inch below grade. In the event someone digs above the conduit, the tape will warn a digger of a conduit deeper.
