Converting a home from electric to gas?
We are in the process of buying a home, and I am trying to figure out how much it would cost to change the appliances (stove, mainly) to gas instead of electric. Is this something that is hard to do? Do I hire a contractor? I don't even know where to start. Can you only change the stove to gas, or do you have to change the heat over too? My husband is deployed, so I am having to figure out most of this on my own. Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks!

This will not be cheap or a DIY project. You need a permit and a licensed plumber to string all the pipe. An electrician may also be needed to decomission some of the 240 lines. Running pipe in an existing home can also be destructive since some walls may ned to be opened depending on the structs design.
