Bryant Dual Fuel Tstat w/ 80 plus furnace
I have a bryant plus 80 system (installed 98') with a CAC\BDP N coil. I have a thermostat that apparently is a Dual Fuel type. Model TSTATBHPDF01-A, at first I thought is was a HP model but when I give it power to it displays DF on bootup. I currently use a Honeywell programmable battery operated tstat that is too hard to read. I like the idea that this tsat is a bryant (same manuf), large buttons with a large backlit LCD screen that will auto change from heat to cool and doesn't need batterys that need to be replaced. I live with my GF father and he is aging with eye problems so I felt that this might help him in the years to come when he will be living alone. I pulled in a new line for the common as well as another line for the outdoor temp sensor. But all documents on these types of thermostats (programable AC, Hp, 2S) indicate that they will do both AC and heat pump applications (except the AC model) I really want this tstat to work for him and me as I have put in many hours of time pulling new wires and obtaining the outside temp sensor. I can't find any info on this exact model number, but what I have found is a close relative to it (carrier). The Hp models state that they will control a AC system so why wouldn't the DF model also? The 4 dips inside are...

    A: on = Zoning
    B: on = Conventional Recovery
(Last 2 are on a sticker covering the print on the circuit board)
C: on = No low temp. lockout
    D: on =2 speed, Off =1 speed

The info I have found on the DF models all show a large display with the outside cover closed, but this one does have large display but only when outside cover is open. Meaning outside door opens to reveal the rest of the info on the lcd.

Thanks for your time in helping me salvage mine!
