How to adjust Craftsman Lawn Mower, Mod. # 917.274391
I've got the manual and followed said procedure. Here's my issue>the FRONT part of deck is level side to side. BUT the BACK RIGHT side of deck is 1/2" HIGHER than the BACK left side. There is nothing in the manual that addresses BACK side to side discrepancies.
    What do I do?

I'll be waiting for your answer! Thank you!!

Before making any deck height adjustments always check air pressure in all 4 tires. They must be correctly filled before adjustments can be done. Lower the deck as far as possible and measure down from deck lip to concrete driveway or garage floor. Is it still off?

How to adjust mower deck on Craftsman Lawn Tractor
Thank you for your response. All 4 tires are at the correct pressure. Front of deck is suppose to be 1/2 " LOWER than the back.
The FRONT of deck- side to side, (Left and Right) are equal at 3.5" It's my BACK Lf. Side is 4" and Rt is 4.5 I measured from appropriate suggested places.
HOW do I lower the BACK RIGHT deck 1/2" to match the Left?

The manual doesn't address how to adjust the Back side to side balance.

Well, with my general knowledge in the mechanical field I would say that your deck may be bent. If you have a mass that is straight and you level the front or rear side to side the other should be level also.

I would remove the deck and sit it flat on a known level surface to make sure that the deck is still straight. This could be your whole problem.

    Hi,
If you did as Bob said, it will not matter if the blades line up. I personally always chec blades following the tire pressure. I will check them tip-to-tip at the center of the deck, and will check both ends of each blade to the other blade in all combinations. They shoule line up within the thickness of the blade.
The manual is available at Welcome - Managemyhome.com and addresses the side-to-side adjustment before front to rear on the same page; done by the nut(s) on the lift links on each side.
    Picture (page) attached.
    Peace,
