I was looking for a bagger and other accessories for the L118. Does anyone know where to get some of these for a 2003 John Deere? Will newer attachments fit?

Yes sir, the current attachments made for the LA series (yours with 42" deck) will work just fine and can be had from a dealer, Lowe's and Home Depot. They are in fact virtually unchanged.

That above link will let you type in the model and search. Choose attachments and the material collection. It will have a menu on the left for the different sections.
The only difference between the 42" and 48" ais the two chute halves, neither will interchange last I saw. Additionally, parts lookup is at:
