How do you scrape the mortar off the back of the ceramic tiles so you can reuse them?

What size are the ceramic tiles and do you know that it's really mortar on them, please? Perhaps it might be another type of adheasive?

Use a scrapeing motion with a small sharp cold cheisel.

If small amount of adhesive remains, use wire brush or wire wheel on drill.BE SURE TO USE DUST MASK. Do this outside as is very dusty.

I have also used wire wheel on bench grinder with shop vac on to catch dust.
