Water odor in cold and hot.
WE HAVE HAD A NEW WELL DRILLED 85 FEET deep. The water coming out has an odor. Our 8' hand dug well never had a problem. I think it is a sulfur smell but not as bad as rotten eggs but it does come from both faucets. The well person said that would change the more we used the water. There are 2 of us using the water and it has not changed in a year. They have drilled natural gas wells down the road from us, but that was before our well. Can that affect the water?
How can one get rid of the smell. We have an ultraviolet purifier hook up to the water system. We used it for the old well too

85' is not that deep a fresh water well. Maybe he should have dug down deeper. What state are you in?

You must first determine exactly what you have. If it's hydrogen sulfate ( rotten eggs or just plain poop) you can do what we do down here in Florida. We aureate the water in a holding tank and pump from the tank to the house.
