    Baby.my last name or fathers?
I'm 17 and my boyfriend is 22 we are expecting a baby in 4weeks... he wants baby to have his last name I am unsure.. we don't have a very ideal relationship I think we have just stuck with it because it "seems" easyer than separating at this time.. if the baby does have his last name and we then do break up what can this mean.. AAAARGGGH hELP?

It means that the baby has his name period. The name really dosen't matter at all when it comes to rights and responsibilities, if that is what you are wondering about. Do you have a more specific question?

    Think of it logically...

If you give the child his last name and things fall apart, it is much more difficult to have the name changed later because it requires his consent.

If you give the child your last name and things work out, the name change is simple since he is there with you...

It's a foundation question we ask a lot here: what state are you in. The statute dealing with birth certificates may supply an answer.

Aside: fortunately for your baby, bastardy doesn't carry the social aprobation it used to.
