Issue with Harbor Breeze ceiling fan
Harbor breeze ceiling fan stopped working. Light still works but fan won't spin. Do not hear a humming sound. Pulled fan down, cap tests fine, switch operates correctly, and the reverse switch appears to be operating correctly. Tested with multimeter. I think the issue is the motor but would love to hear if anyone has a different opinion.

Could be a bad capacitor, is it slightly swollen?

No. It's not the cap. I tested all three caps (all encased in one housing) and all three are right on the money. 3.5, 4.5, and 4,5 uf. Although I don't see any problems with the rotor or stator I believe the problem is in the motor. I don't understand why I don't here a "hum" sound though.

How are you testing the caps?

I tested the caps with a fluke 189. I found a burnt wire on one of the coils. I threw everything out but the light kit. Sorry
