    Foil-faced plywood panels
I just came across this in my study material and am wondering how is this used?

What is used to cover them in a home interior? Or is the foil between plies?

    Thanks in advance

Foil really doen't matter what direction it goes, but it can't go facing the interior. Ugly.

The foil does two things, it acts somewhat as a vapor barrier. Tyvek does better because it seals more thouroughly.

Think of the foil as a heat mirror. It will reflect heat in both directions, keeping some in and keeping some out. Temperature difference between the inside vs outside drives the major direction of heat flow.

Does this mean that the foil side should not be covered up? I am sure that would be ugly.

Here are some uses of foil insulation. Radiant Barrier, Reflective Foil Insulation, Bubble Insulation: EcoFoil

The foil would be facing the studs.
