    2 Cycle Oil Mix Ratio
I have recently seen 2 cycle oil for a 100:1 mix ratio. An example is "Saber Synthetic 100:1 Pre-Mix 2-Cycle Oil". Can I use this oil at 100:1 in my lawn equipment that the manufacture rates with a higher mix ratio? Said differently, can I use this 100:1 oil in equipment rated at 50:1 or 32:1?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
Cannot say it is not safe; the blend would require a high concentration of Exxon UltraBrite (the heavy constituent in the blend.) In the past there was an oil that advertised "up to 100:1" called Golden Spectro. I never saw it successfully used at anything more diluted than 50:1 - this was during the days of leaded gas, so it was quite awhile back and gas had higher octane/burned hotter.
I suggest a quality, name-brand oil at 50:1 with at least mid grade fuel.
    Peace,
    Clarke
