I know a person with just that condition. Also, could it be a sign of another problem?

As far as I know, it's genetic. I've known a couple people who had eyes that were two different colors. One had perfect vision, and I think the other wore contacts.

My guess is that instead of ending up with hazel eyes their genetics decide to just make the eyes different colors. The same thing happens fairly frequently in huskies, although I'm not sure why they're more prone to it than other breeds.
